After studying English at Swansea University, she returned to her childhood love of art, pursuing this alongside bringing up her young family. Painting was a passion, that eventually become Sian’s full-time occupation. Exhibiting at galleries in Wales and Cornwall, Sian has also had work selected for the Royal Cambrian Academy.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e Much of her inspiration comes directly from the places where she loves to spend time, outdoors enjoying the coastline. The paintings are a response to the landscape, an attempt to capture something of the experience and the energy of a place- how it feels to be there on that day.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e An expressive and intuitive painter, Sian McGill works mostly with a palette knife, but also paints with brushes , or fingers or whatever else comes to hand to get the desired effect.
